A Trixie bet is a type of system bet consisting of 3 selections in different events, which generates a total of 4 individual bets within the same ticket. These 4 bets are distributed as follows:
- 3 Doubles
- 1 Treble
How do you win a Trixie bet?
To make a profit on a Trixie bet, you must correctly predict at least 2 of your 3 selections. The more selections you win, the greater the final profit, since more combinations within the system are activated: if you only get 2 selections right, you only win the Double corresponding to those two selections, while if you get all 3 right, you win all possible combinations (the 3 Doubles and the Treble).
How is the amount of a Trixie bet calculated?
The total amount of your bet is divided equally among the 4 combinations. For example, if you bet $2,000 in total, each individual bet will be $500 ($500 × 4 = $2,000).
To calculate your winnings, multiply the value of each individual bet ($500 in this example) by the combined odds of each winning combination, and add the results of all the winning combinations.
