The Golden Sub protects your player bets in football. If the player you bet on is substituted before reaching the target, your bet is not lost: it is automatically transferred to the player who replaces them.
How to identify the Golden Sub
Look for the golden arrow icon (Golden Sub) in selected player markets. Only bets with this icon are included in the offer.
Statistics inheritance (Key point)
This is the main advantage: the substitute inherits what the original player has already achieved.
Example: You bet on “2+ shots on target.” The starting player makes 1 shot and is substituted. If the substitute makes 1 more shot, you win the bet! (1 + 1 = 2).
Important rules
- Eligible markets: Applies to single bets, accumulators, and Bet Builder bets.
- Regulation time: The offer only applies during the 90 minutes (including stoppage time). It does not apply to extra time or penalties unless the market specifically states otherwise.
- Multiple substitutions: If the substitute is also replaced, the bet is transferred to the next player who comes on.
- Official data: We use the OPTA provider to officially confirm substitutions and statistics.
When it does NOT apply
- If the bet outcome was already decided before the substitution (e.g., you bet on a goal and it was already scored).
- If you used Cash Out before the substitution.
- If the selected market did not have the Golden Sub icon.
- If the selected player is not substituted (the bet is settled normally).
