At Betano, a bet may be resettled when it is necessary to correct or update its initial calculation to ensure the result is accurate according to the official information available.
What is a bet resettlement?
Resettlement occurs when, after a bet has already been settled, an error is identified in the initial event information (such as an incorrect result or erroneous statistical data). In such cases, the bet is reviewed and settled again based on the official data corrected by our provider.
This may occur in the following situations:
1. Official result correction
If an event result is updated or corrected by the official source (for example, due to a refereeing decision or a modified statistic), the bet must be adjusted to reflect the correct result.
You can find more information in our Betting Rules, term 1.16.
2. Errors in the initial settlement
In some cases, a technical or human error may occur when calculating a bet payout. When this is identified, a resettlement is carried out to correct it.
Incorrect odds: When an obvious error is identified during Live Betting or after the event has started, all bets will stand and will be settled using the odds revised by Kaizen.
You can find more information in our Betting Rules, term 1.15.2.1.
3. Updates to sports statistics
In sports where statistics may be revised after the event (such as goals, assists, or points), the result may change and affect the settlement of the bet.
